5 tips to make your Bladder Strong and Healthy – No More Urine Leaks

Are you stuck in an embarrassing problem where you find it hard to make it to the toilet in time? Some people experience occasional, minor leaks of urine due to a weak bladder. Urine incontinence is a common problem that is more prevalent in old people. You can keep your overactive bladder under control just by making simple changes in your lifestyle.

Stay Hydrated:

Water is the key to the healthy life and the benefits of drinking water seem to be countless. The constant urge to empty your bladder, make you hesitant while drinking fluids and you dehydrate yourself in hope of evading leakages. To combat the issue of excessive leaks you need to stay hydrated and flush all those toxins out of your body. If you don’t drink enough water, you will produce concentrated urine which often causes burning and irritation. This will worsen the condition by enhancing urges and you will always find yourself looking for the washroom.

Avoid Constipation:

When you are constipated it not only put constant pressure on your colon but also on your bladder because they are in close proximity. Constipation weakens your pelvic floor muscles leading to the leaky bladder. To avoid constipation, you must stay hydrated, eat enough fiber, and increase physically active.

Cut Down on Alcohol and Caffeine:

Caffeine and alcohol are diuretics and increase the amount of urine your body makes. It stimulates your bladder muscles and increases your urge to pee. To have a good control over your body you must limit the intake of alcohol and caffeine (Coffee, tea, soda, chocolate).

Avoid Bladder Irritants:

Artificial sweeteners like sodium saccharine, acesulfame K, and aspartame used in making sodas are notorious for irritating your bladder. Just like alcohol and caffeine they act as diuretics

Acidic and spicy foods may also trigger your bladder and increases your number of visits to the nearest restroom. Pineapple, lemons, oranges, tomatoes, grapefruit can be troublesome for your bladder.

Kegal Exercises:

Pelvic floor exercises help you make your bladder stronger. They are relatively easy to do and 30Sets per session can help you overcome the symptoms of overactive bladder.
