The remake of resident evil 2 is one of the most awaited games releasing in 2019. There is a lot of excitement and buzz among the gamers for its improved visuals and modification in format.
Disappointment for zapping fans
The zapping feature, one of the characteristic features of the first part of the game which gave the player a choice to interchange between the two main characters has been removed in the second part. In zapping system everything done in Claire’s scenario affected the playthrough of Leon and the impact of Leon’s scenario was seen in Clair’s game. Removal of this interesting feature will surely cause major disappointment to zapping lovers.
Introduction of interesting two separate campaign format
Leon & Claire will now have two separate campaigns with different stories in the remake of resident evil 2. All these modifications in the campaign have been made keeping with the interest of new generation players. Visuals of the game have been improved in order to attract the younger generation. The campaign is simpler now and the player can choose to play first either with Leon or Claire. The zapping feature, according to Yoshiaki Hirabayashi caused “repetition in the game”.
What all is there in the new version of the game?
The A/B distinction has now been eliminated. So, the feeling of watching two sides of the story from the perspective of two different characters has been replicated. Now Leon and Claire will have separate campaigns and the game of one will not affect the playthrough of the other character. The game is more elegant and simpler now and the new generation players can experience deep and intense story which was restricted by the repetition caused in the story in the first part. Events in the story of two different characters are different in the new version of the game.
