The Outlast Trials: Every Amp, How to Get and Use them
If you want to get your hands on the illegal Amps in The Outlast Trials, you must impress the NPC Dorris. The player must reach Level 10 of the game’s difficulty before she will pay any attention to them. The Trials will get progressively harder from here on out, but they’ll have access to some very potent enhancements to assist them out. In this piece, you will learn about each Amp in The Outlast Trials and how to acquire and employ it.

What Are Amps in The Outlast Trials?
You can use any of the nine Amps once you reach Therapy Level 10. You can bring up to three Amps into a Trial, each providing a passive boost. However, not all Amps will be immediately accessible at Therapy Level 10; Antitoxin, for example, requires the greatest level to unlock at Therapy Level 26. Antitoxin is a favorite Amp of mine because it reduces the effects of Psychosis and allows gradual Sanity recovery.
How to Get and Use Amps in The Outlast Trials
Dorris can be found in the second-floor café, where he unlocks amplifiers in exchange for a chat. She begins providing them at the tenth Therapy Level. Before beginning a Trial, simply use the Central Terminal to make any needed adjustments to your loadout, including selecting an Amp.
Every amp in The Outlast Trials is listed below.
Slippers
As soon as a player reaches Level 10, they can acquire the Slippers Amp from Dorris. Even still, the Slippers are The Outlast Trials’ most superior Amp. They allow players to walk over broken glass without making a sound.
Players can avoid giving away their location to opponents and gain a tiny bit of stealth advantage as they progress through the Trials. This means getting a pair of slippers as soon as possible is a must.
Noise Reduction
If you’ve put in the time to get to therapy level 22, you’ll be rewarded with the Noise Reduction Amp. If you’re the type of player that likes to be on the move constantly, then investing in one of the greatest Amps in The Outlast Trials is a no-brainer.
When equipped, this Amp muffles your character’s footsteps and door slams, making them less audible. As a result, you’ll be able to go swiftly through tests while retaining some secrecy.
Strong Arm
Once a player reaches Level 20, the Strong Arm Amp becomes available to them. Throwing objects like bricks and bottles becomes considerably more effective with this Amp. If the player succeeds to land a blow to the head on an enemy grunt, the upgrade will render them unconscious for a short period.
This Amp can save the day when the player is trapped and needs a few precious seconds to escape harm’s way, or when an adversary is blocking the entryway they need to use.
Antitoxin
The Antitoxin Amp becomes available to players at Level 26. This Amp shortens the duration of any psychotic symptoms and eventually restores the player’s sanity. Psychosis can be extremely lethal, especially at higher stages of The Outlast Trials. During psychosis, players are more susceptible to harm. Thus, any measure that lessens the likelihood of this state occurring is welcome news.
Players have a hard time coping with psychosis as it is, so any way to lessen its duration is welcome. The only real drawback to this Amp is that higher-level players will likely already be adept at dodging gas traps and may not need it.
Cacophony
Once a player reaches Level 14, they can access the Cacophony Amp. The noise generated by bricks and bottles is much increased with this improvement, making them more effective distraction tools. This Amp encourages improved stealth gameplay and may come in handy for players attempting harder levels or having trouble escaping from opponents.
If an adversary is in the way of the player’s progress, they can simply throw a brick across the room to send them on a search mission. The Cacophony Amp becomes much more effective in its intended role, and it is also great pleasure to toy with one’s opponents in this way.
Quick Escape
Once a player reaches Level 24, they will gain access to the Quick Escape Amp upgrade. When a player takes damage, the Quick Escape Amp temporarily boosts their stamina and speed, giving them a significant advantage in the fight. Players can use this Amp to survive situations where they would otherwise perish, such as when they are surrounded by enemies.
This Amp has the drawback of assuming that the player will be attacked. This benefit won’t aid players much if they aim for a better Trials grade. They should instead select Amps that serve to shield them from harm.
Double Doses
The Double Doses Amp is a relatively early enhancement that may be purchased from Dorris at Level 16. This Amp is easy to build because it permits Syringes to be used twice. The Trials contain syringes that can be used to bring back downed comrades.
Since this Amp requires many player deaths, it is largely ineffective for lone players. Instead of trying to heal themselves, players would be better off selecting Amps or perks that boost their survivability.
Hide And Heal
At Level 18, players have access to the Hide and Heal Amp upgrade. While in hiding, players can immediately begin regenerating health with the help of this Amp. Despite its name and description, this upgrade does not grant any additional health or healing. Instead, it will completely refill whichever health bar is currently active.
If their health is at 1.5 bars and they use the Hide and Heal Amp, their health will be restored to 2 bars. This isn’t very useful at higher levels and is likely to not prevent them from dying in the next strike.
Hide And Breathe
Players can obtain Hide and Breathe as their second Amp after reaching Level 12, but they should hold off until they have access to something better, or switch it out as soon as they can. When players enter a safe zone, their stamina will begin to regenerate immediately thanks to this enhancement.
A player that has time to find a hiding area and not get caught generally doesn’t need to replenish stamina that quickly anyhow, thus the Hide and Breathe Amp isn’t all that useful.
FAQs

What do amps do in outlast trials?
Amps, or character enhancements, are a crucial part of any loadout because of how useful they may be in challenging situations. Amps are essential for high-score runs due to the benefits they provide, which might range from reduced movement noise to enhanced endurance and speed after taking damage.
Is The Outlast Trials too difficult?
The Outlast Trials are challenging even with a complete support group. Attempting to make it through the game on your own is nearly difficult. There won’t be any 4v4s, just you and a horde of foes. If you keep a few things in mind, you can finish trials when playing single.
