The Story

Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies tells the familiar story of the Dark Aether, but this mode is set during World War 2. It is a prequel. That means players should not expect to see familiar characters like Eddie or Sam in this story. But, the game teases the return of a familiar character. One of the best things when it comes to Vanguard Zombies is that players can expect a narrative that tells the story of the Nazi party’s real-world obsession with occultism.

The Artifacts

Vanguard Zombies Artifacts are like special weapons that you can equip to your loadout. There are four artifacts.

Energy Mine – The Dragon of Saraxis spawns an Aethereal explosive that deals damage to enemies who set it off.

Frost Blast – The Horn of Norticus summons a frigid vortex, damaging enemies with the blast.

Aether Shroud – The Mask of Bellekar cloaks you in Dark Aether which means that enemies can’t see you for 5 seconds.

Ring of Fire – The Sword of Inviktor sparks a ring of Aethereal flame to boost damage for 15 seconds.

The Perks

This mode will give you a chance to unlock some parts of the map where you will find many perks. Here are the perks that will make it easier for you to kill zombies.

Fiendish Fortitude – Increases health 

Aethereal Haste – Boosts movement speed

Diabolical Damage – Increases critical damage

Venomous Vigor – Boosts regen speed

Demonic Frenzy – Boosts reload speed

The Objectives

One of the new things that Vanguard Zombies brought to the game is the aspect of objectives. There are three objectives that you need to complete to advance rounds and they appear randomly on the map. They will be marked on your HUD as you play. You must find a portal to teleport to a new location. That is the only way you will be able to finish the task. When you finish the objective you simply go back to the main hub area.
