The PlayStation 4 Will Take a Hit from the New Games Coming to Xbox Game Pass on January 19
The addition of two Persona franchise titles to Xbox Game Pass on January 19 should be a blow to the PlayStation brand because it will demonstrate that Xbox Game Pass is a more robust service. Microsoft’s strategy for this console generation has been built around Xbox Game Pass, and the firm is doing everything it can to entice as many Xbox gamers as possible to sign up for the service. Microsoft is also attempting to entice new potential customers with Xbox Game Pass by obtaining prominent third-party games from genres that have traditionally lagged behind on Xbox. This strategy is part of Microsoft’s overall strategy to grow its user base.
It was in this context that the unexpected news came out that Persona 5 Royal, which had previously been available solely on PlayStation, would not only be making the move to Xbox, but it would also be doing so as a part of the Xbox Game Pass subscription service. Because Persona 5 Royal is one of the games with the best ratings of all time, the fact that it is only available for PlayStation platforms has always been a significant issue. It is now easily accessible on platforms that compete with it, such as Xbox Game Pass, and it will soon be joined by further Persona games that have received high praise in the gaming community.
On January 19, the acclaimed role-playing video games Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden will become available to play through the Xbox Game Pass subscription programme. A blow will be dealt to PlayStation with the release of Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden via Xbox Game Pass, just like Persona 5 Royale did before them. Although Persona 4 Golden has been ported to the personal computer, this will be the very first time that Persona 3 Portable has been made playable on a device other than a PlayStation system.

When it comes to the new titles that will be available for Xbox Game Pass subscribers in January 2023, Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden are only the tip of the iceberg. At some point later this week, Microsoft is likely to showcase all of the new Xbox Game Pass games that will be available for the first half of January 2023, so members will want to remain tuned for further information on that front.
During this period, the latter half of January 2023 has already begun to take shape.
