This is the July 2023 security update for the Galaxy Note 20
The most current software update from Samsung has begun to be sent to devices in the Galaxy Note series, which is the flagship smartphone line for the company. The safety update for July 2023 has already begun rolling out to handsets in the Galaxy Note 20 series. It will continue to do so until all devices in the series have received it. This news arrived only a few days after a new security update for the Galaxy Note 10 series was available for download. Firmware version N985FXXS7HWG2 is included in the latest software update for the Galaxy Note 20 and the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. At the moment, it can be purchased in nations located in Latin America, such as Argentina, Bolivia, and Peru.
We anticipate the new version will be made available in other Latin American countries over the following few days, and we anticipate that it will be made available globally by the end of this month. The newly released security patch addresses over ninety different security flaws that were discovered in the earlier version of the software. You shouldn’t count on the update to deliver new features or improve the system’s performance. If you have a Galaxy Note 20 series phone and live in any of the countries listed above, you can download the new update by going to Settings » Software update and clicking the Download and Install button. This will allow you to install the update on your device.
You can also manually flash the new firmware file by using a Windows computer and the Odin software. You can obtain the new firmware file from our database and follow the instructions. Samsung has released the Galaxy Note 20 series, bundled with Android 10 by default. It was updated to Android 11 toward the end of 2020, and then again toward the end of 2021, it was updated to Android 12. Late in 2022, Samsung released an upgrade for the Galaxy Note 20 series, bringing the operating system up to version 13, the most recent version of Android.
