How Kameos Work in Mortal Kombat 1
In Mortal Kombat 1, whenever you select a character, one of them will be a Kameo character. Kameos have their own unique set of talents and tricks, including devastating finishing moves known as Brutalities and Fatalities.
During battle, if your Kameo Meter is at least halfway full, you can use the special attack assist button (R1/RB/R). Then, your Kameo character will dash into the ring and launch an assault. Holding a direction while pressing the help button will cause Kameo to move differently.

At level 5, they will gain access to Scorpion, at level 10 they will gain access to Sub-Zero, at level 15 to Kung Lao, at level 20 to Shujinko, and at level 25 to Motaro. Every Kameo has its own unique fatality and arsenal of unique attacks.
