How to Set Up Twitch Channel Point Rewards
“Channel points” are a feature that Twitch introduced to its platform as a means to reward loyal viewers with perks on the channels that they watch the most, but without requiring them to pay for a membership. This tool enables streamers to reward viewers with a variety of different goods that may be customized within the chat. These goodies can include highlighted texts, updated emotes, and more.
The only thing the viewers need to do is watch their preferred streamer, and the points will accumulate automatically. The streamers, on the other hand, have a little bit of extra work to perform in order to guarantee that their viewers are receiving each and every appropriate reward. Each streamer is responsible for determining whether or not to enable channel points and managing the benefits that come with them. This is due to the fact that channel point payouts can be entirely customized.

How to Set Up Twitch Channel Point Rewards
When you are logged into Twitch, you can access your “Creator Dashboard” by clicking the profile picture that appears in the upper right-hand corner of the screen on the homepage of Twitch. This is the first step in the process of setting up channel point rewards for your viewers. Affiliates and Partners are the only parties who have access to channel points.
There will be a drop-down option on the Creator Dashboard menu that is labelled “Viewer Rewards,” and it will have a happy face icon next to it. Simply pick “Channel Points” after clicking on that button.
You will then be given the option to either enable or disable Channel Points at this point. To alter the awards that are open to you, select “Manage Rewards & Challenges” from the drop-down menu. You have the ability to modify the default incentives, such as “Highlight My Message” and “Unlock a Random Sub Emote,” in this section.
When it comes to the kinds of incentives that can be offered to viewers, there are not many restrictions. You have access to a vast selection of pre-made awards that can be game-, real-world-, or Twitch-related if you navigate to the “Custom Rewards” section of the website. You also have the option to click the “Create a Custom Reward” button and let your creative juices flow freely from there.
Using this option, you are able to create a truly one-of-a-kind reward for viewers, the scope of which is constrained only by the things that you are personally willing to accomplish. The only thing left to do once you have everything selected just how you want it is to stream, and then let your viewers reap the benefits of what they have watched.
Because the community of each broadcast is interested in a unique set of perks, it is up to you to pick the specifics of how you want to implement the channel point reward system for your stream. Just make sure that it maintains consistency with both your brand and the expectations of your community.
