SB-XTMN-1TB Sabrent Rocket Nano XTRM 1TB Thunderbolt 3 SSD at 2.7 GB/s for $199

Sabrent has introduced the Rocket Nano XTRM (SB-XTMN-1TB), a Thunderbolt 3 optimized external SSD with a storage capacity of 1TB and a maximum transfer speed of 2,700 MB/s. The Rocket Nano XTRM’s dimensions are similar to those of a conventional bank card, measuring 2.7 x 1.1 x 0.5 inches and weighing only 2.2 ounces. The SSD’s metal casing efficiently dissipates heat, assuring peak performance. Its design emphasizes mobility, slipping easily into pockets.
An optional silicon sleeve is available for added protection against potential impacts and environmental conditions. The Rocket Nano XTRM connects via a USB Type-C interface. This interface is designed exclusively for Thunderbolt 3-compatible devices, allowing the SSD to reach its maximum transfer speed of 2,700 MB/s. While the Rocket Nano XTRM is precisely tailored for USB Type-C ports, it also supports USB 2.0. When connected to an older USB version, such as USB 3.2 Gen2x1, transmission speeds are limited to around 900 MB/s.
Two cables are included in the package: a USB Type-C to USB Type-C cable and a USB Type-C to USB Type-A cable, ensuring flexible connectivity. Furthermore, the SSD is meant to be plug-and-play with Windows and macOS systems, requiring no additional drivers or external power sources. The 1TB Rocket Nano XTRM is available for $199.99 on Amazon but also for $169.99 when purchased straight from Sabrent.
