Where to Find Duriel
Gaping Crevasse is Duriel’s lair in Khejistan’s southernmost part of the Southern Expanse. If you haven’t gone to the dungeon yet, look for the horned skull inside an orange circle to indicate its location. There is a dungeon for each of Diablo 4’s final bosses, and Duriel’s is located southeast of Gea Kul.
After entering the Gaping Crevasse, proceed down the Path of the Maggot until you reach The World’s Bubo, defeating all level 100 foes along the way. Here you’ll discover an arena to face off against Duriel and a Pestilent Altar. You must have the proper sacrifices on the altar before the battle can begin.
How to Summon Duriel
To summon Duriel, you need to lay two Mucus-Slick Eggs and two Shards of Agony in the Pestilent Altar. After the summoning artifacts have been placed, the boss will come for a level 100 battle, completing the Ritual of Agony. You should be prepared for the material, as you will not be able to retrieve your belongings.
Mucus-Slicked Eggs and Shards of Agony can be obtained by beating Varshan, while Shards of Agony can be obtained by killing Grigoire, the Galvanic Saint. Obtaining the necessary components for Varshan’s summoning rituals is simple from the Tree of Whispers. However, it will take more time to convince the Living Steel to take on Grigoire.
