Age of Wonders 4 – How to Unlock Teleporters
In Age of Wonders 4, players encounter a dilemma in the latter stages of the game. The fighting is all done far from home, but all of their strongest forces are drawn from a small number of cities in the center of their group. Although armies move more quickly in friendly territory and on roadways, they still need to make a few detours to get to the front lines. You may learn how to open teleporters in Age of Wonders 4 by reading this entire article:

How to Unlock Teleporters
Players must first gain access to teleporters before they may use them. The skill Teleporter Infrastructure can be found on the General node of the Empire Development tree. At 500 Affinity Points, you can activate it for merely 200 Imperium.
Even if a person doesn’t learn this ability, they can still construct one of two Wizard Towers. The Recall Ruler spell, learned from the Room of Recall, is a powerful strategic spell that, for the price of 80 mana and 80 casting points on the global map, teleports the ruler’s army back to the capital.
The Teleportation Circle, which can teleport any of a player’s armies to the capital for 120 mana and 120 global map points, is up next. When it comes to advancing armies toward the frontier from the capital, however, these spells are useless. Players can do so by investing in the Empire Development skill and thereafter constructing teleportation infrastructure.
How to Use Teleporters
After players have placed at least two teleporters, selecting one of them by click causes a submenu to appear in the teleporter’s info box. The teleporter hex allows players to instantly transport armies to any of the available locations. Each outpost teleporter is labeled simply as “Outpost (Outpost),” but players can quickly get to any of them by clicking on the crosshair that appears next to the name.
To teleport quickly, pick an army that is within marching distance of a teleporter, then switch the camera to the teleporter you wish to send your army to. All six neighboring hexes light up to give the illusion that the unit could go there. Ordering the troops to this location will trigger the teleporter’s use. Select the army again to see whether it still has some energy to spare and keep marching.
In addition, teleporters will be used automatically by the game to determine the quickest route to any given hex. When moving many armies at once, keep in mind that the game will cause units to teleport one by one instead of teleporting to nearby hexes all in the same turn. In addition, players can set a teleporter as the city’s unit spawn point.
Click on a teleporter improvement and then on the circular arrows in the bottom-right of the description box, and along with the standard replacement options, players can choose “Set as Unit Deployment Location.” When option is turned on, all municipally constructed units will instead spawn in the teleporter province rather than within the city itself. The Rally of the Lieges units will still appear in the capital city, so the throne city teleporter should be constructed nearby.
All Teleporter Types in Age Of Wonder 4
With the Teleporter Infrastructure skill activated, players can construct the Teleporter special province improvement in any of their cities. This improvement has no resource bonus and applies the usual -5 to stability, but armies can move between any two teleporters in an instant.
Tomes, which function similarly to teleporters but add additional bonuses, are also available to players. Visiting armies can apply the Evasion buff before leaving the city, and the Chrono Gate grants an additional three mana and three pieces of knowledge to the city for each adjacent conduit or research post. The Demon Gate is a teleporter that can bring a large number of fiendish units into the city.
However, in order to construct these upgrades, players will need to acquire Teleporter Infrastructure. The ability to construct teleporters in any outpost the player owns is yet another perk of this skill. The easiest way to get troops to the front lines, this takes three turns and 280 gold. A teleporter can be a useful addition to an outpost, but if that outpost is later upgraded into a city, the teleporter will need to be rebuilt as a unique province improvement.
