A new Galaxy A21 upgrade is being rolled out by Samsung, beginning in Canada
Samsung hasn’t released a firmware update for the Galaxy A21 in a while, but it is now beginning to roll out. It is available in Canada for the Galaxy A21 and includes the security patch from July 2023. The July 2023 update for the Galaxy A21 SM-A215W is now available from Samsung. It is available for the Galaxy A21 from a wide range of network providers, such as Bell, Telus, Fido, Koodo, Virgin, Rogers, Videotron, SaskTel, and others.
The Galaxy A21 doesn’t receive any One UI updates as a result of the upgrade. The July 2023 release, which Samsung described over a month ago, is the sole new security patch included, as the A215WVLS7CWG2 firmware version shows. 52 security issues, 52 of which are related to Google software, are fixed by the July 2023 security patch. However, as is customary, not all security issues covered by the monthly security update are specific to the Galaxy A21. It is a universal patch that fixes problems with numerous Galaxy smartphones and tablets.
Time will tell when Samsung will begin to roll out the July 2023 security patch for the Galaxy A21 in more markets. For the time being, Canadian Galaxy A21 owners who prefer manual installs on a PC should be able to access the new version via the firmware part of our website. Alternatively, consumers might launch the Settings application on their phones, go to “Software update,” and select “Download and install.”
