Darkest Dungeon 2 – Bounty Hunter Guide
The Bounty Hunter is a playable Hero in Darkest Dungeon 2. Players can unlock the Bounty Hunter at the Altar of Hope and then hire him by stopping at an Inn during a run. While he is unlocked in the same way as his friends, he operates quite differently when adding him to your party and using him in combat. This article explains the Bounty Hunter Guide in Darkest Dungeon 2:
Unlock the Bounty Hunter
In Darkest Dungeon 2, players can unlock the Bounty Hunter via the Altar of Hope, as with previous heroes. The Altar of Hope may be located immediately after The Crossroads and requires Candles of Hope to unlock a variety of enhancements.
From there, players can acquire the Bounty Hunter. However, players cannot select him while starting a run even after unlocking the Bounty Hunter because he is not in the starting Hero list. Instead, they’ll need to hire him.
Once at the Altar, select the Living City option and scroll all the way to the bottom to locate the Bounty Hunter. He is slightly cheaper to unlock than the other characters, costing five candles instead of the normal eight, but this is offset by the fact that you do not have direct access to him once you do.
Hire the Bounty Hunter
After you’ve unlocked the Bounty Hunter, you must employ him before he may be added to your party. You can hire the Bounty Hunter by visiting the Inn throughout your run and adding him to your team. Remember that the Bounty Hunter will not be present at every Inn, so you must check each time you visit one to locate this elusive guy.
If he’s there, you can click on the poster to view the conditions of his contract. The Bounty Hunter will then join your party and replace one of your Heroes until the Chapter ends. The best aspect is that the Bounty Hunter’s talents will already be perfected.
