What Damage Cap means in Granblue Fantasy: Relink?
A damage cap in Granblue Fantasy: Relink refers to the maximum amount of damage that a certain move can deal to an enemy on each use. Once a move hits this cap, it will no longer deal more damage, even if you improve its power with qualities like Attack, Critical Damage, or Exploiter. There isn’t a single damage cap covering all moves; each has a unique cap.
Regretfully, there’s no way to know when you’ve taken the maximum amount of damage. If every situation sees your assaults dealing the same damage, that’s the best sign that you’ve hit the damage cap. If you lack damage cap modifiers, these quantities typically conclude in multiple nines, such as 4,999 and 9,999.
As the game progresses, hitting the damage cap becomes increasingly frequent, particularly when using level 100 characters, endgame weapons, and unique Sigils. It’s also simpler with characters like Percival and Id, renowned for their strong abilities and intense strikes.
How to Increase Damage Cap
Fortunately, raising the Damage Cap for your character’s skills is not too difficult. Each character has Damage Cap nodes in their Mastery trees for every attack, and some Sigils enhance the Damage Cap for specific talents. You should be able to better organize your build by knowing which skills and attacks the Sigils and Mastery nodes are compatible with.
You can increase the DPS cap even further by imbuing your preferred weapon with a Wrightstone with the Damage Cap perk attached, should you be fortunate enough to find one. However, any Sigils and Wrightstones with Damage Cap benefits will be uncommon.
Until you advance to higher difficulty levels in Granblue Fantasy: Relink, you won’t even see anything connected to the Damage Cap mechanism. While having to consider Damage Caps when creating your Granblue Fantasy: Relink characters can be annoying, the mechanism ensures that characters don’t get too damaged.
