One Piece Odyssey – How to Change Outfits

Published

The main plot point of One Piece Odyssey is Memoria journey to many islands, transporting us to the bygone era of manga and anime. Large-scale games based on pre-existing properties from other media rarely have character customization; sadly, One Piece Odyssey is one of those games. Every character has two sets of clothes: pre- and post-timeskip clothing that reflect their original appearance and current look when they join Luffy’s crew. This post will walk you through changing into a new attire in a single piece:

Which Outfits Are Available

The Straw Hat pirates are outfitted in their New World Challenge attire when the game starts. They wear these in their most recent appearances, originating from the time-skip in the anime and manga. Alternatively, the characters can be outfitted in their original attire from when they first joined Luffy’s crew by donning the Traveling costume.

Only owners of the Deluxe or Collector’s editions of One Piece Odyssey may purchase the Traveling clothes. Franky and Brook are the only two Traveling clothes that can be unlocked during the game. Through the Yaya Cube trade with Madame Trade, both can be unlocked.

You’ll need to trade 40 cubes to Brook, and twice as much to Franky. As a last bonus, anyone who bought the Deluxe version or placed a preorder can dress Usopp in the Sniper King costume from the Water 7 manga and anime.

Where to Find New Outfits

The New World Challenge Outfits for Luffy, Zora, Nami, Usopp, Sanji, Chopper, and Robin are the default outfits included with the game. Right now, pre-ordering any edition of the game is the only method to obtain new costumes for your One Piece Odyssey crew (well, sort of). If so, the Traveling Outfits are located under the Change Outfits menu.

For every playable character, these are their pre-timeskip appearances, or how they looked when they initially joined Luffy’s crew. One more outfit, the Sniper King Outfit for Usopp, is available to those who purchased the Deluxe or Collector’s Edition of One Piece Odyssey. This outfit is based on Usopp’s appearance in the Water 7 arc.

How to Change Outfits

Although each character’s page in the pause menu has an Outfits section, you are unable to alter any character’s appearance using that menu item. You’ll have to hold out until you come across a tavern or a camp instead. The Straw Hats will rest in their camps, prepare meals and Trick Balls, and host gatherings to receive momentary battle bonuses. Go to the green tent after locating and interacting with a campfire.

On your map, taverns are the bars designated with a tankard icon. Go up to the bartender in a tavern and start chatting. Taverns offer the same options as camps do, in addition to being Save Points. To personalize your squad, select the Change Outfit option at either of these locations.
