Sword Puzzle Solution in Resident Evil 4 Remake

Upon entering the Treasury, adventurers should make their way to the locked door between the two massive stone murals on either side. Swords are still depicted in several of these murals, however they are now placed improperly. This means that the three swords depicted on the murals on the wall should be removed off the wall and added to the player’s inventory.

Unfortunately, the final sword can only be accessed by passing through the same room’s locked metal gate. The gate’s easy to open, which is a relief. The key can be found at the lock of the gate, which features a trinity of snake, hawk, and deer motifs. To the left of this lock, near the point where the wall and the gate meet, is a tiny pull chain Leon can use to open the gate.

When you pull on this chain, the Deer Insignia on the lock will light up and you’ll hear a gong. Players can unlock the gate by shooting the missing symbols off the gongs (the Hawk and the Snake) by aiming through the bars. The two symbols are on the right side of the room, and the gong outside the gate on the left isn’t included in the solution. The final sword can be retrieved once all the symbols have been illuminated.

Players must return to the murals with all four swords and arrange them in the exact order to progress. The murals depict the life of a knight from his early training to his knighthood to his death in combat. Players must strategically position the swords under the plot.
