Security patch for Galaxy Z Fold 3, Fold 4 coming in September 2023

Published

Over the past week or so, Samsung has been making significant headway on issuing the September 2023 security update. The most current phones to receive the September 2023 security update are the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Galaxy Z Fold 4, released in 2023. In addition, the update is being rolled out to these foldable phones before any others. The new version was made available in the year 2023. Downloads of the most recent available upgrade to the software can now be obtained in Europe. Firmware version F926BXXS5FWH9 is included in the most recent software update for the Galaxy Z Fold 3, whilst firmware version F936BXXS4DWHA is included in the most recent update for the Galaxy Z Fold 4.

Because the only update these phones receive is the security patch for September 2023, which fixes over 60 separate vulnerabilities, you should not anticipate seeing any new features or changes to the phones’ performance. This is because the only update these phones receive is the security patch. If you are located in Europe and have a Galaxy Z Fold 3 or a Galaxy Z Fold 4, you can now check to see if your device’s most recent software update is available. To do this, go to the Settings menu, then click Software Update, and then select Download and Install from the drop-down menu that appears. You also have the option to manually flash the most recent firmware files for these phones by doing it yourself.

You can do this by downloading the files from our database of accessible firmware and performing the process manually. While the Galaxy Z Fold 3 was made available with Android 11 already installed by default, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 was presented with Android 12 already installed and configured by default. Both of the mobile devices described above have recently received the upgrade to version 5.1.1 of One UI, which is based on Android 13. The most recent version, which had just been launched, featured major improvements to multitasking capabilities.
