World of WarCraft: Beginners Guide

Introduction:

World of WarCraft is one of the most famous online subscription multiplayer games. It was released in 2004. To play this game one needs to pay a monthly subscription fee. Its playing area or role play takes place in World of Azeroth. Since 2004 till now it has already gotten 8 extensions updates.

It allows you to create an avatar and explore the world of Azeroth in 1st or 3rd person view. You can find non-player characters or other players while exploring the landscapes. You can buy and sell items in game currency and increase your level by getting more power.This game had over One hundred million subscribers in the year of 2014.

Beginner Guide for World of WarCraft:

World of WarCraft is a subscription game so that means you have to pay to play the game. However, you can start a trial version of the game and can play it to the 20th level for free. Once you decide to pay for the subscription you will be able to access all the extensions. So whenever you subscribe you need to know that it will include all the previous extensions, however you might need to pay for the new extensions whenever they come.

When you log into the game. First thing you need to do is make an avatar. You can choose your character from the two sides, the Alliance or the Horde group/faction. The alliance is in favor of central leadership and the Horde is in favor of individual tribes and freedom.

Note: You will only be able to cooperate with the players of the same group/faction in which you chose to make your character. If you find a player of the opposite group/faction. You will be able to attack and kill them. You will be safe in the city of your group/faction.If you walk into any city associated with the opposite group/faction the guards might try to kill you.

You can choose your character from different races. Your group/faction will be determined by the race you choose your avatar to be.

Alliance races are as following:

  1. Human
  2. Dwarves
  3. Night Elfs
  4. Gnomes
  5. Draenei
  6. Worgen

The Horde Races are:

  1. ORCs
  2. Undead
  3. Tauren
  4. Troll
  5. Blood Elfs
  6. Goblins

Your Race will also determine your starting area. In the beginning you will only meet the players of your race or your group/faction, if you level up you can meet the rest of your group/faction.

Once you choose the group/faction you will need the a class. It will determine your roll and your fighting style. Some classes are limited to certain races.

You can also change how your avatar looks. Like skin, hairs and so on. You can also give them a name.

Button info

When you are done with avatar making, you can start the game. After starting your game you will find yourself in your own race area. Your moment is with the buttons “W” for up, “A” for left, “S” for back, “D” for right and Spacebar for jump. You can move your camera by clicking the left button on the mouse, your camera will move around your character and holding the right click will move the camera behind your character.

Screen info

On the top left corner of the screen you will find your character information like level, class and health.

On the bottom left you will find the chat box. Whatever you write there will appear on your characters head. To know more about chat box just type “/help”.

Above the chat box or in the middle of the left side screen you will see a social button which you can use to send private text to your friends.

On the bottom of the screen you can see your skill buttons. Which can be used whenever you need your skills. Beneath your skill bar is your experience bar to show you how close you are from your next level.

On the bottom right of the screen you will see different buttons that will help you play the game smooth and fast. The buttons are Character info, Spell book, Talents, etc.

On the right model you can see your active quests and logs. You can use the Cancel button on the bare to roll the quest section.

On the top Right corner you can see your mini map. With also show your in game callander, date, and time.

Equipping your character is highly important. It will alter your ability to fight and make your character strong. You can buy or find the items from defeated enemies. You can equip the items through the character panel and then the bag pack. This will show you all the places you can put the items. Furthermore, it also shows the body parts on which you have items, the parts that need items to cover them.

Items quality are shown in different colors to show players what time of items that have or can buy. The list is Poor for grey, Common for White, Uncommon for green, Rare for blue, Epic for purple, Legendary for Orange, Artifacts for gold, and Token items for Light blue. Item leven is to show how good an item is. The iger stats for an item mean the better it is. Some items can give you a certain type of boost but make sure if it is compatible for your class and race. Item durability is also an important factor which can be useful in a fight.

Interactions:

You can interact with Non players and the players in the game. To identify if the non player is friendly you need to follow color. Green color is friendly and yellow is neutral and red is non friendly.You can see their name on their head. You can move to players and non-players and click on them and can have a conversation.
