How to Make a Collaborative Playlist in Spotify

Both the mobile and desktop apps allow users to create what is known as a Collaborative playlist. A subscription to the Premium tier is not required.

1. Launch Spotify and create a new playlist, or open an existing playlist that you currently have and wish to convert into a Collaborative playlist.

2. Make the playlist collaborative by selecting Make Collaborative or Collaborative playlist after clicking or tapping the icon with three dots that is located beneath the name and picture of the playlist.

You now have a playlist that was created by multiple people. If at any point in the future you decide that you want it to be private again, you need only repeat these procedures.

Once you have enabled Collaboration for your playlist, you will be able to share it with other users.

3. Select Distribute by clicking or tapping the icon with three dots again, and then choose the method through which you want to share it. The most straightforward solution is to simply select “Copy Link,” which enables you to send a direct link using any app or chat software of your choosing.
