1. Locate a Saddle or a set of Horse Armor. These things may be found in Chests in dungeons and Nether Fortresses, among other places. You may also be able to capture them if you go fishing.

2. Find a horse to ride. Horses may usually be seen grazing on grasslands or savannas, depending on the season.

3. Feeding the horse will help to tame it. Continue to feed it until hearts begin to emerge over its head.

4. With an empty hand, choose the horse you want to ride. You’ll get on the horse, but you won’t be able to control its motions for a while.

5. A saddle (or horse armour) should be placed on the horse. The Saddle may be found in your inventory by dragging it into the proper box beside your horse.
