How to Verify a YouTube Account
After gaining authentication on YouTube, you will be able to upload videos that are longer than 15 minutes and personalize the thumbnails that appear alongside them. A phone number is the only thing that is required to authenticate a YouTube account; other forms of identification are not accepted. But just so there is no confusion, getting verified does not result in receiving a verification badge. Verification badges are only given out to creators who have at least 100,000 subscribers, which is the threshold that the platform uses to determine whether or not a creative may be considered “established.” Having this particular type of badge, on the other hand, will not get you access to any additional benefits.
For everyone else, the steps that need to be taken to get their account verified and begin enjoying the benefits of having a verified account are outlined below.

How to Verify a YouTube Account
You will need both a working internet connection and a working phone number in order to validate your account. It is important to keep in mind that the verification via text message option is not available in all countries.
The following steps will validate your account on YouTube:
1. Navigate to youtube.com, then in the toolbar on the left, scroll down to the bottom, and click the “Settings” button.
2. Select “View extra features” from the drop-down menu (located under “Your Account”).
3. Click “Verify.”
4. Select the nation in which you currently reside and decide whether you would prefer to receive a phone call or a text message (this is how you will receive your verification code).
5. If you choose to make a phone call, make sure to click the “Confirm” button.
6. After entering your phone number, click the “Submit” button.
7. Once you have the six-digit verification code, input it in the text box provided, and then click the “Submit” button.
A confirmation message will be sent to you once you have completed all of these steps. Simply clicking “Continue” will take you back to the page that details the features and status of your account. Below the name of your channel on that screen, you will also see the word “confirmed” along with a checkmark indicating that it is authentic.
FAQs

How do you verify your YouTube account on mobile?
If you have an Android or iOS device, you can verify your YouTube account by opening the browser of your choice, going to the YouTube verify page, and signing in to your account if you are required to do so. Choose whether you would prefer to get your verification code through a text message or a phone call, then enter your mobile phone number and touch the “Get code” button.
Do you need 1000 subscribers on YouTube to get paid?
In order to begin receiving money directly from YouTube, content producers need to have at least 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 view hours over the course of the previous 12 months. After they have reached that number of subscribers, they are eligible to apply for YouTube’s Partner Program, which enables content producers to begin monetizing their channels through the use of advertisements, subscriptions, and channel memberships.
Can you verify your YouTube account with an email?
You will need to verify the email address associated with your Google Account before you can access your YouTube account. You can send a confirmation email to your email address by visiting the page that confirms your email address. Please check your inbox and look for a confirmation email there (subject: “Google Email Verification”).
What happens when you get verified?
A verified badge is a check that displays next to the name of an Instagram account on the profile and in the search results. It indicates that Instagram has validated a user account as being the genuine online presence of the prominent figure, celebrity, or brand that the account purports to represent.
