What is a Nether Stone?

Invasion Mode’s fire walls must be broken through with the special key item, the Nether Stone. All of the skins and other awards that are concealed behind these walls will remain unattainable without this equipment. As of now, Mortal Kombat 1 has just one Nether Stone, and Scorpion is the only one who can obtain it.

How to Get Nether Stone

After taking down the upgraded Scorpion, the last monster of the last Mesa in season 1, you will receive the Nether Stone as payment. To get to Scorpion, you’ll have to pass through every Mesa in the first season of Invasion as well as the whole Fire Temple.

Once you defeat him, he will drop the Nether Stone and his stylish seasonal skin, which will let you return and explore previous Mesas to find fresh goodies. We’re not aware of any way to skip to Scorpion or obtain the Nether Stone early. The purpose of these gates is to serve as post-game locations for the Invasion mode.

What Do You Get for Using the Nether Stone?

Every Mesa has a Nether Stone gate, and once you have the stone in your control, a ton of extra fights become available huge you. There will be a series of “boss” confrontations for you to face when you unlock each gate. While most of these encounters don’t involve multiple rounds of kombat, you will still have to cope with some annoying modifiers.

As the opponents in these regions are typically high-level (over 20), be sure to be there before venturing in. After defeating Scorpion, we barely managed to reach level 30, and we barely encountered any difficulties during any of the post-game battles. You can obtain a great deal of talismans by finishing these optional battles, in addition to secret boxes and portals that lead to hidden treasures along each path.

In some of the Mesas, there are even more Klues that lead to even more extra treasures. After you defeat Scorpion, you can leave Invasion if the only reason you’re interested in it is the (very small) plot. But before you end the mode permanently, you’ll need to clear every Nether Stone path to enjoy all of the seasonal goodies from Invasion.
