Mortal Kombat 11

Mortal Kombat 11 was revealed on Jan 17th 2019. Reveal event included a short but enticing gameplay with characters ripping each other’s apart. Skarlet controlling blood and turning it into cones, Sonya firing up Baraka to the helicopter, Raiden controlling Red Arc. Especially Baraka’s eating the brain scene left audience mesmerized. Gameplay showed new fatalities for characters with improved visuals.

While the event didn’t unveil complete rooster, we did get to watch classic fighters like Scorpion, Raiden, Sub Zero, Sonya Blade and Liu Kang. Players will be excited to know that in this edition of Mortal Kombat, voice of Sonya Blade is done by WWE superstar Ronda Rousey. She is one of the most famous female wrestlers in the world. The franchise is bringing back some old characters like Skarlet. Plus there will be a brand new character “Geras”. He appearance matches with “Jax” (a powerhouse of Mortal Kombat series) but he has the ability to travel through time and summon sand. Developers have improved the game a lot from MK X.

The graphics look more intense than ever with Unreal Engine displaying layers of brain and blood drops. Obviously for a game like Mortal Kombat, players demand more bloodshed. One of the new feature they added is that now you can customize your character’s look and attire. This option is not new to “fighting” games like Tekken and King of Fighters but Mortal Kombat series has introduced it for the first time.

The Game is set to release on all platforms (PC, Xbox, Play Station) in April 2019. Pre-order bonus includes Shao Kahn. Here is the reveal trailer for you, in case you missed it.
