Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown – How to Fast Travel
Being a Metroidvania, PoP: The Lost Crown has an expansive map that will take many hours to explore fully. In Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, fast travel isn’t always possible, and even when it is, the mechanism isn’t the most practical. During the early stages of the campaign, you’ll need to start by expanding the map more and more. You will learn how to travel quickly in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown by reading this guide.

How to Unlock Fast Travel
Although the Sacred Archive biome is technically in the Lower City, you can’t access fast travel until you approach it in The Lost Crown. Additionally, if you haste, you can miss it. Hang a left as you get closer to the Sacred Archive rather of going up toward the waypoint—which, if you’re playing in guided mode, you’ll see on your map. You are trying to find this room:
A purple orb will be visible in front of a shattered plinth:
The plinth can be repaired by smashing the orb. When you interact with it, a list of the fast travel destinations you’ve unlocked will appear. When you see a purple overlay on your screen while exploring, you know you’re getting close to a quick travel site. Should your screen begin to appear like this…
…then look around till you locate a quick travel location. Usually, a Wak-Wak tree is nearby.
Use a Homa Statue to Fast Travel
Once you have unlocked the Homa Statues Network during the main quest, “The Abducted Prince,” you will be able to navigate across Prince of Persia quickly: The Lost Crown. Sargon returns to the game’s “Lower City” sector shortly after leaving the eastern woodland. The “Scholar’s Area” has a room to the west with a shattered statue and a temporal anomaly:
Take down the anomaly until it breaks, exposing your first rebuilt Homa statue:
The statue can now be used to quickly travel between the Scholar’s Area and “The Haven,” a secure location with a blacksmith and store:
As the game progresses, more broken Homa Statues will become available to you, increasing your options for quick travel. The next one I found was in the map’s “Day Temple” section of the “Upper City” sector.
Until you are able to flee screaming from the horrors of the “Sacred Archives,” you will not see this location. I’ve felt the most relieved in the game thus far when I’ve left that location behind. I doubt it will be the last, though, especially since I’m currently up to my knees in a filthy sewer. Well, anything.
