In the Below Zero announcement video, they revealed some of what will be in this game. They also talked quite a bit about how you can upgrade your base to survive longer and not freeze to death. You’ll have access to new areas as well! I think it sounds like an amazing addition that is unlike any other expansion released by the Subnautica team.

They also revealed more information in a blog post about the actual map that will be included with this new expansion. There are some really interesting features! For example, there’s an ice cave you can explore to find materials and crystals for upgrades as well as minerals. This is awesome because it allows players to explore more of the map with all their upgrades.

Biomes are incredibly important for the survival of flora and fauna. The more diverse a biome is, the better chance organisms have to survive in it. Escape from Tarkov has 25 biomes that range between regions where crops grow well, places you might find interesting stories while exploring or locations with unique characteristics worth investigating like an abandoned military base!
