How to Solve Passing Through
In The Talos Principle 2, Passing Through is one of the two Lost Puzzles that can be located on or near Desolate Island (N1). In this section, you’ll learn how to use the Control skill, which grants you temporary possession of other players’ bodies for the sake of puzzle-solving.
After entering the Passing Through portal, the first thing you’ll see is an Energy Gate with the Progress Wheel in the background. You’ll find another Energy Gate and Jammer gadget over there, and still another body to take command of, to your left.
Go to the Energy Gate off to the left of this main space to activate Control of Body. To better see the Body and seize Command, I stepped to the bars to the right of the Energy Gate. We’ll refer to this section as the prison.
If you’re locked up here, you can grab the Jammer and use it to disable the Energy Gate. After that, exit the cell to the left, where you’ll discover a Platform item lying on the ground; take it up and return to where the Jammer is stationed inside to use it.
Get into the other body and make your way to the far right of the big room. Pick up the Hexahedron hidden here and take it back to the Jammer. Arrange it in the holding area, but make sure it is behind the Body and supporting the Platform.
Get some altitude by grabbing the Jammer and hopping onto the Hexahedron. This next stage can be tricky; while holding the Platform in the air, place the Jammer on top of it at an angle that will cause it to block the Energy Gate. When you get everything right, you’ll be able to see the Jammer’s silhouette on the Platform, signifying that it will be placed there when you click the button.
You now possess a Jammer with the ability to cross the Energy Gate unimpeded. Take Command of the Person Holding the Jammer/Platform and proceed through the Energy Gate to the main area.
The final action is to lower the platform, which will also lower the Jammer. Choose the Energy Gate with the Progress Wheel behind it and set down the Jammer. By doing this, you will have solved the Passing Through Lost puzzle in Area 1, granting you access to the Progress Wheel.

How to Solve Loop Puzzle
You’ll find the loop after the seventh puzzle. Take the bridge southward until the west end, and then turn left or go straight from there. Just go up the hill and you’ll see it.
Take the converter inside and activate it by pressing the red button. The next step is to drill a hole in the wall. Turn the box around and squeeze it through the opening. The converter should be placed inside the box, and the box should be placed on the red button. The red laser can still be sent through the purple field and into the red circle in the back.
We need to re-transmit the box to the opposite side at this time. To do this, place the box next to the inactive fan and adjust the drill so that the hole goes through the center of the other side.
The box will now explode all the way through if you only stand on the button. Move the drill bit to the second piece of copper and replace the drill bit. The box can be accessed by passing through the purple grate. Next, connect the converter to one terminal and the box to another. It’s easy to make the puzzle more difficult than it has to be. You’ve finished the hard part and may now go on.
