How to Farm Coal Effectively

There are a few different ways to obtain coal, but the approach that results in the most productive and reliable harvest is the slaughter of Dust Sprites. However, before you attempt to get into the Mines, you must ensure that you have certain essential equipment with you.

When searching for Dust Sprites, you are going to require the following items:

  • Remember that chance plays a significant role in practically every aspect of your experience in Stardew Valley, including the success of your farming endeavours and your acquisition of riches from monsters.

  • Monster Musk: Utilize this item to increase the likelihood of encountering monsters on the floor. After completing the Prismatic Jelly quest, the recipe for preparing this item will become available to you.

  • The Burglar’s Ring is an item that, when equipped, increases the amount of loot obtained from defeating opponents. After you have eliminated a total of 500 Dust Sprites, you will be able to purchase this accessory from the Adventurer’s Guild.

The Mines are the most common location for Dust Sprites to be found. It is possible for them to spawn in large numbers on floors 41 to 79, particularly if you are utilizing the Monster Musk and have Burglar’s Ring on. It is important to note that achieving the Monster Eradication Goal of “Killing 500 Dust Sprites” will increase your chances of obtaining Coal as a reward for killing Dust Sprites by 100%.

You should have no trouble gaining between 200 and 250 Coal using this strategy on each run, which is not a terrible way to spend your day. Of course, if the idea of going into the Mines and slaughtering a bunch of Dust Sprites doesn’t appeal to you, we have also provided a list of other ways to farm coal for you to choose from.
