The best way to fix any issues with your AirPods is a complete reset. To do this, simply hold the button on the back of the case for 15 seconds when it’s plugged in and connected to you device. The status light should change from white to flashing amber while resetting, and should go back to white once it’s done. After that your AirPods should be good as new!
Here is How You Can Fix Your Airpods Pro If it is giving Charging Issues
Plug out earbuds, restart bluetooth on phone (swipe down to show bluetooth and hit the icon that looks like a disconnected/connected wifi symbol), wait for it to find the earbuds, once it does pair them and let phone restart (at least twice in my case).
Unpair and re-pair with your devices. Sometimes this steps helps when you add/remove your device (I have a Samsung S10e and an iPhone 7).
Charge AirPods, restart your devices (phone/earbuds), charge for 15+ minutes. Unplug the case, wait about 1 minute (not sure if this helps but I do it), re-insert earbuds into case. Keep filing until the white led is lit again on the case (this could take some time – like 30 minutes).
Restart bluetooth on phone (swipe down to show bluetooth and hit the icon that looks like a disconnected/connected wifi symbol), once it does pair your Airpods and let phone restart (at least twice in my case).
Check for updates of iOS software on your phones. Sometimes software updates fix bluetooth issues (this also helps when you add/remove your device, like in this case).
These aren’t specific to AirPods and could help with any other Bluetooth devices. Some of these steps work for me, while others do not:
Uninstall any app that uses Bluetooth. This includes car bluetooth systems and fitness trackers. You can go into Settings>Bluetooth and delete anything that is listed under Paired Devices . I’ve had luck uninstalling the Microsoft Office 365 suite from my phone since it’s a huge program.
Power off both AirPods and the case for 30 seconds by pressing down on them together until the status light flashes amber. Then restart your device after 30 seconds.
Restart your Airpods by pressing down on the case until the white status light flashes, then let it sit for a few seconds and restart.
To check which iOS version you’re running: go to Settings>General>About and check “Version” at the top of the list that appears. To update your iOS device, go to Settings>General>Software Update . The current iOS version is 11.3.
The older versions could also help if your phone/earbuds are supported by them (for example I have an iPhone 7 right now running iOS 10 because no updates work with my phone).
Once again, not all of these steps helped me but they could help other users so I’m putting it out there. Again, I have an iPhone 7 so YMMV with iOS updates.
If you’re still having problems after all of this, contact Apple support at https://www.apple.com/support/contact.
I hope this helps! Good luck!
