How to Turn on Cheats in Your Minecraft
Cheaters, it is said, are never victorious. However, in Minecraft, they are capable of doing some fairly impressive feats. When you enable cheats in your Minecraft world, you have access to a plethora of chat commands that allow you to easily manipulate the game. You have the ability to alter the weather, travel anywhere, summon or defeat foes – it’s like playing a whole other game.
If you’re playing either the Java or Bedrock versions of Minecraft, you may enable cheats while you’re constructing your world or while you’re already inside. Here’s how to get it up and running.

How to Turn on cheats in Minecraft: Bedrock Edition
Enabling cheats in the Bedrock version is quite similar to the process of doing so in Java. This works on all platforms, including PC, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox. The “Pocket” versions of the iPhone, iPad, and Android devices follow a similar set of instructions.
To enable cheats for a new planet, follow these steps:
1. Open Minecraft and pick the Play option.
2. To begin, click on Create New, followed by Create New World.
3. Navigate to the Game Settings page and scroll down until you reach the Cheats section.
4. Toggle on the Activate Cheats button and indicate that you are comfortable with achievements being disabled.
If you want to rapidly adjust any specific world parameters, you may utilize the toggles below, but once you’re ready, click Create on the left-hand side of the screen.
And if you’ve previously constructed a world without cheats but wish to make them available, you may do it as follows:
1. Press the Esc key on your keyboard, the Start/Options button on your controller, or the Halt symbol on your touchscreen to pause the game while you are in your world.
2. Select Settings from the drop-down menu that appears, and then scroll down to the Cheats area of the Game Settings menu that appears.
3. Toggle on the Activate Cheats button and then restart the game.
You may utilize cheats by hitting T on your keyboard or the right D-pad button on your controller to enter the chat window once you have enabled cheats for the game, as seen below.
Cheats may be turned off at any time by returning to the cheats menu and toggling the switch off once more.
Some easy Minecraft cheat codes to try out
You’ll type all of your cheat codes into the chat box, just like you would if you were conversing with a fellow player. The chat box may be accessed by hitting the T key on your keyboard or the right D-pad button on your controller to open it.
Here are some really effective hacks to get you started.
/give to spawn any item
Give yourself — or another person in your world — an unlimited amount of nearly anything with this method. You’ll need to input something like /give PlayerName ItemName Quantity into the console.
To give oneself 30 diamonds, for example, if your username was JohnDoe and you wanted to do so, you would write /give JohnDoe diamond 30 into the console.
Instead of typing your username, you can use @s to indicate that you don’t know it.
/weather to change the weather
Rain and thunderstorms may be started and stopped with this feature.
Simply type /weather clear, /weather rain, or /weather thunder to see the current weather conditions.
You may also use the /time command to meddle with the day-to-night cycle of your character.
/tp to teleport anywhere
This allows you to teleport anywhere in the globe as well as to alternate realities such as The Nether and The End.
There are many various methods to utilize this command in Minecraft, so be sure to read our whole article on how to teleport in Minecraft for more information.
/kill to slay every enemy in the area
Using the /kill command, you may eliminate a whole group of Creepers at once if you’ve discovered a cave full of them and don’t want to deal with them any longer. /kill @e[type=EnemyName] is the command you’ll type.
So, for example, if you wanted to eliminate every Creeper in the region, you would enter /kill @e[type=creeper]. Please keep in mind that it will only destroy the ones that have already hatched and will not prevent any more from emerging.
