MSI’s MAG X670E Tomahawk WiFi Motherboard Supports 7000X3D

Published

MSI has recently made an announcement on the launch of its new lineup of AMD Ryzen 7000 Series processors. These processors are equipped with AMD 3D V-Cache Technology and are compatible with all of MSI’s X670 and B650 motherboards. The most recent processors, such as AMD’s Ryzen 9 7950X3D and Ryzen 9 7900X3D, have a thermal design power (TDP) of 120 watts and increase the amount of L3 cache by fifty percent in comparison to standard Ryzen 7000 processors. Although having a somewhat lower thermal design power (TDP), these processors can support as many as 16 cores and 32 threads and yet achieve a theoretical maximum boost frequency of up to 5.70 GHz. Previous versions of the AGESA COMBO PI BIOS from MSI are still compatible with any MSI X670 and B650 motherboards, despite the fact that the latest version, AGESA COMBO PI-1.0.0.5c, is performance-optimized for the AMD Ryzen 7000 Series processors that are equipped with AMD 3D V-Cache Technology.

In addition, MSI has released the MAG X670E TOMAHAWK WIFI, which is a military-inspired motherboard that supports all AMD Ryzen 7000 Series processors and includes a design that was inspired by the military to ensure the highest possible levels of endurance and performance. A 14+2+1 Duet Rail Power System (DRPS) with an 80 A SPS power phase and an 8-layer PCB with 2 oz thicker copper are included in the MAG X670E TOMAHAWK WIFI. These components work together to supply the processors with reliable currents. The MAG Series has a premium thermal solution that includes an Extended Heatsink to combat the heat that is produced by the motherboard. This helps to ensure that all of the components continue to function normally even when subjected to demanding workloads.

In terms of extension, the MAG X670E TOMAHAWK WIFI offers DDR5 RAM with AMD Approved EXPO profiles in the BIOS for an additional performance increase. Moreover, the MAG X670E TOMAHAWK WIFI supports quick Lightning Gen 5.0 PCIe slot support. There are a total of four M.2 slots on the motherboard, the first of which supports Lightning Gen 5 with double-sided Shield Frozr. The remaining M.2 slots are Lightning Gen 4.0 for onboard storage, and the M.2 Shield Frozr will cover the second and third slots of the M.2 connectors.

With all of the lightning-fast storage, it is just as important to have connectivity in order to transfer data as quickly as possible and to enjoy an instantaneous networking experience without any bottlenecks. Because of this, the MAG X670E TOMAHAWK WIFI will come equipped with 2.5G LAN, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.3. All of these features will be included in the package. It doesn’t matter what you throw at it; it will breeze through whatever games and applications you put at it, and it won’t let you down.
