Here is What Does Dexterity do in Elden Ring

What Does Dexterity do in Elden Ring

Dexterity increases the speed of casting spells, sorceries and incantations. It does not increase the speed of your attack of your character even if you use melee or any ranged weapon.

However it gives you some benefits wth non-combact mechanics that makes it easier for you to survive in the game longer. Also dexterity does not make you swing faster in Elden Ring.

Dexterity Vs. strength in Elden Ring

In a nutshell, if your character is stocky and you want stronger attacks, you should prioritise a Strength build. And if you’re after quick action and a wide variety of combos, the Dexterity class is the way to go.

Best Dex/Arcana Elden Ring build

You can deal insane amounts of burst damage quickly with 45 Dexterity, 45 Arcane, a Dexterity weapon with innate Bleed buildup like the Uchigatana, and an Ash of War that transforms it into a Blood weapon with Arcane scaling.

List of Dexterity weapons in elden ring

  • The Moonveil Katana
  • Morgott’s Cursed Sword
  • Scorpion Stinger
  • Godskin Peeler
  • Hand of Malenia
  • Moonveil
  • The Bloodhound’s Fang
  • Dragon King’s Cragblade
  • Urumi
  • The Parrying Dagger
  •  The Wakizashi
  • The Scythe
  • The Uchigatana

The Moonveil Katana

Needing 12 Strength, 18 Dexterity, and 23 Intelligence to wield the Moonveil Katana. Because of its high Intelligence requirement, it is a good dex weapon for intelligence builds that prioritise melee weapons.

So one of the strongest builds you can make in Elden Ring is a Dex/Arcane one, with a focus on Bleeding enemies, bosses, and players. Also the twinblade is a good choice for melee users looking to perform fast slashes with a wider area of effect, as it scales primarily with Strength and Dexterity.
