How To Get An Egg In “Pokemon Go”

Published

It’s been less than a week, but it already feels like we’ve entered the age that will be known to future historians as “The ‘Pokemon Go’ Age.” You might be wondering how to get an egg in “Pokemon Go” if you’re still trying to figure out how to play the game that’s become everyone’s new obsession. Generally speaking, locating eggs and successfully hatching them is fairly simple; all you need to do is put on some walking shoes and start moving around.

Eggs offer a method for you to acquire Pokemon that is different from the standard method, therefore it is beneficial to gather as many of them as you can while you get the chance. Pokestops, which are typically situated in well-known landmarks or other prominent public locations, are where you can discover eggs to collect. When you find a Pokestop, you can use it by swiping the circle on the screen to cause it to spin. This will allow you to use the Pokestop. As it rotates, it will dispense various gifts, including Pokéballs, eggs, and other goodies. (You won’t be able to discover eggs at each and every location, so if you don’t obtain any at first, keep looking.) To obtain each of the goods, tap on it individually.

To go to your egg inventory, tap the Pokeball icon at the bottom of the screen first, and then tap the Pokemon button after that. You should see a tab in the top right corner of the screen that is labelled “Eggs.” When you select that, a list of all of the eggs you have amassed up to this point will be presented to you in front of you. When you visit a Pokestop, the following information will be presented to you both before and after you swipe your finger across the circle:

What exactly are you going to do with those eggs now that you have them? The solution is “Walk, walk, and then keep going,” however there are a few steps that need to be completed before getting to the simple response.

If you take a look at your eggs, you’ll notice that each one has a different distance written on it. The distances range from two to ten kilometres. This is the required distance that must be covered by you before your egg will hatch, at which point you will be rewarded with a shiny new Pokemon. The greater the distance, the less likely you are to encounter a Pokemon. (This page contains a list of the Pokemon that may be captured at various distances; feel free to check it out.)

BUT. In order for an egg to hatch, it must be placed in an incubator. Every player is given a free incubator, and there is no limit on the amount of times that it can be utilized. You can purchase more incubators from the in-game market if you desire the ability to incubate many eggs at the same time. However, keep in mind that each of these incubators has a certain amount of uses.

Go to the screen where your eggs are kept and tap on the egg you want to start incubating. This will also start the mileage counter for that egg. Select “Start Incubation” from the menu. There will now be a menu in front of you that lists all of your incubators. Touch the one you want the incubation process to begin with, and then begin moving about! Once you have travelled the distance required by your egg, it will hatch, and you will be rewarded with a brand-new, shiny Pokemon.
