Texting, as we all know, can be a little impersonal at times. Sometimes it’s simply too difficult to express yourself clearly in simple words, and that’s okay. Yes, the Messages app now offers a plethora of features, ranging from the ability to include GIFs to the ability to create personalised avatars. For those who want something more dramatic and eye-catching, fireworks are a great option. That’s where Apple’s unintended consequences come into play.
This tutorial demonstrates how to send iMessages with effects on iOS and iPadOS devices (sorry Mac). However, the effects are only available for iMessages, which means that receivers using Android phones will not be able to view the fascinating animations. Not sure whether the person you’re giving the gift to has Android? It’s important to remember that iMessages have blue bubbles while SMS text messages have green balloons.
Use Bubble effects
When you have a new or current message open, type your message in the text area that is shown. You will not be able to view any choices for employing effects until you have done so
In the text area, press and hold the Send button for a few seconds. As indicated in the illustration above, it resembles an up arrow.
By default, the Send With Effect screen opens to the Bubble category on the left-hand side of the screen. To apply an effect, tap the Dot next to the effect you wish to use.
The dot transforms into a Send button (up arrow). To send the text with the effect applied, use the button on the right.
Use Screen effects
These effects are highly entertaining, and they feature a variety of interesting animations that splash over the full display screen. Are you attempting to communicate some fantastic news? Share it with the Fireworks effect and watch as a spectacular fireworks display shoots across the screen, fit for a New Year’s Eve celebration. Are you really attempting to make your point? If you send it to Echo, your message will be replicated around 100 times over the screen in response.
Effects like Echo, Spotlight, Balloons and Confetti as well as love and celebration are all available as full-screen effects on the Xbox One.
When you have a new or current message open, type your message in the text area that is shown. You will not be able to view any choices for employing effects until you have done so.
In the text area, press and hold the Send button for a few seconds. It has the appearance of an up arrow.
Upon reaching the Send With Effect box, you will notice two categories: Bubble, which is the first one to appear by default, and Screen. Select the Screen option from the drop-down menu.
The full-screen effect may be selected and previewed by swiping a finger left or right.
