How to Untag Yourself on Facebook

Published

On Facebook, someone can “tag” you in a post if they wish to call your attention to it or make it obvious to others that you are associated with the post in some way. Your name will be stated in the post or in conjunction with the photo, and everyone else who views it will also be aware that you are mentioned in connection with it.

It’s nice that you said that, but since you didn’t give your permission to be tagged, it’s likely that you don’t want to be connected with that post. What’s the upbeat report? You may easily remove the tag from yourself. Whether you use Facebook using the website’s browser or through the mobile app installed on your phone or tablet, the procedure for removing tags that you have placed on yourself is the same in both cases.

The procedure is as follows.
