Red Dead Redemption 2 Guide – How To Complete All Missions In Chapter 2

There are plenty of missions you need to complete in Red Dead redemption 2. After you have completed all the missions in Chapter 1, definitely you would like to move forward to complete the missions in Chapter 2 as well.

To be noted, all the missions in Chapter 2 of Red Dead Redemption 2 will also reward you with a Gold Medal for each mission.

Now I will give you detail guides to complete all the missions in Chapter 2. Get yourself ready for the next challenging journey!

All Missions In Chapter 2 Red Dead Redemption 2

1. Polite Society, Valentine Style

Polite Society, Valentine Style is an introduction to the town of Valentine. You will be rewarded with a medal in “Polite Society, Valentine Style” mission if you could achieve the following tasks:

Return the lost wagon horse to its owner
Find Karen within 45 seconds

Here are the steps to complete the mission:

Meet the Uncle at the camp and you will start your journey towards Valentine by a cart

Follow the course of the mini-map until you come across a man whose horse has escaped. If you decide to help him, simply press the Square (or X on Xbox) button while holding the left shoulder button while approaching the horse, this will increase your honor in the world

Continue to the town, and follow uncle to the store. Use the book at the store’s counter to buy a cigar, look at into Provisions then Tobacco to find it, after that, wait outside
Help one of the girls (Karen) in the alleyway, then go into the hotel opposite to help the other

Ask the man at the desk, and he will tell you that she’s in room 2B, which is upstairs and the last room on the right, press Circle (or B on Xbox) to fight back in the room

The final part of this mission is, you have to chase someone on horseback. Simply chase them until they fall off the cliff edge, and while they are hanging, you can make the decision to save or kill

2. Americans at Rest

You will be rewarded with a medal in “Americans at Rest” mission if you could achieve the following tasks:

Save Javier within 15 seconds
Defeat Tommy within 1 minute 30 seconds

Here are the steps to complete the mission:

Visit Javier in the saloon at Valentine, here you will face a bar fight against various revelers. Press Circle (or B on Xbox) to punch and Square (or X on Xbox) to block. Then, you have to help Javier, which thrown onto the street outside

Continue scrapping here, making sure you block and return punches when you can, and tap punch to escape any grapples until the fight is up

3. Paying a Social Call

You will be rewarded with a medal in “Paying a Social Call” mission if you could achieve the following tasks:

Silently kill 4 O’Driscolls
Get 12 headshots
Complete with at least 80% accuracy
Complete the mission without taking any health items

Here are the steps to complete the mission:

After you have completed the Americans at Rest mission, you will have to speak to Kieran at the camp
You can scare or threaten him, then ride him to the destination which he points out

Once you get to the camp, you can advise others to take the lead on the stealth kills
You will see the two guards which you might have to deal with
When you reached the trunk, get the gang to let loose on the camp
Use the mini-map to see the exact positions of enemies and shoot them up
Approach the cabin, and after the cutscene, get the Double-Barrelled Shotgun from the chimney, then search the chimney for a lot of cash $300, that’s your share

There are a load of bodies in the camp you can loot for some loose change and ammo

4. A Quiet Time

You will be rewarded with a medal in “A Quiet Time” mission if you could achieve the following tasks:

Try to make amends with an old rival
Catch Lenny in the act
Don’t get arrested

Here are the steps to complete the mission:

First, take Lenny to the saloon in Valentine, approach the bar and lean against it
From there, you’ll get drunk and Lenny will keep disappearing

You will find Lenny on upstairs at the balcony the first time you lose him
Then Lenny will be directly downstairs, just head down and approach him as there will be two men try and fight him
The final time is the hardest, where you walk around in the first person and everyone looks like him, press L2 and then Square (or X on Xbox) until he finds you

After that, there will be a few more interactive but scripted scenes, and the mission ends with you climb up on the hills not far from the camp
Now hold Triangle on PlayStation, or Y on Xbox to recover your stamina, or you can also eat the right provisions to set you straight

5. We Loved Once and True

You will be rewarded with a medal in “We Loved Once and True” mission if you could achieve the following tasks:

Peacefully convince the Chelonians to let you take Jamie
Return Jamie to Mary within 2 minutes

We Loved Once and True has three parts to complete:

Part 1 – Letter, this part of the mission can be taken after reading a letter by your bed in camp
Part 2 – Meeting Mary again, read the letter and the next quest will appear on your map, just north of Valentine. During the cutscene, you have a choice to help Mary or not

Part 3 – Bringing Jamie home, here you will need to travel the faraway mountain top destination to find the group. How you respond to their questions is entirely up to you, but either way, Jamie will escape. However, Jamie will go with the same route and speed every time, so it won’t be too difficult to catch him up

Then you will stop at some train tracks, and you will be trained in drawing your weapon. Squeeze the right trigger then fully press it, and chase for his arm
After that, simply ride Jamie to the destination on the map to complete the mission

6. Money Lending And Other Sins

You will be rewarded with a medal in “Money Lending And Other Sins” mission if you could achieve the following tasks:

Complete within 2 minutes 10 seconds

Here are the steps to complete the mission:

After completing Americans at Rest, speak to Leopold Strauss at the camp to start this mission
He will detail you for three indebters on your map for you to chase down, once you’re done with the first, then you have to return to camp to deposit the debt, and they are:

Mr. Wrobel, you can find him at the west of Horseshoe Outlook, in the central house in the middle of the settlement. Beat him, and loot the house, go to the large living room, check on the corner cabinets, you will find Brandy and Cigarettes, while the drawer had an antique watch. The game will tell you once you have cleared the debt
Lilly Millet, you can find Lilly at the south of Emerald Ranch, in the northern-most house, outside with another man. You need to beat up the man and loot the body to get the debt back, make sure there will be no witnesses.
Chick Matthews, you can find him near Heartland Overflow, and he will be out the back of his ranch. Get on your horse once he’s spooked, and give chase, After you have killed him, you must loot his body to get Chick’s Treasure Map. To find the treasure in the map, look inside the large tree, face it looking south, then get to the debt.
Thomas Downs, is the final part of this mission, head to the south-west of Valentine and you will find him in the vegetable patch outside of the house. Scare him and slowly approach until he backs into the fencing for a cutscene, that will take you back to camp. Talk to Strauss to complete the questline.

7. Blessed Are The Meek?

You will be rewarded with a medal in “Blessed Are The Meek?” mission if you could achieve the following tasks:

While escaping, kill all mounted Lawman within 55 seconds
Get 15 headshots
Complete with at least 70% accuracy
Complete the mission without taking any health items

Here are the steps to complete the mission:

Enter the jail at Strawberry to find Micah Bell, you will see him around the side of the building, at the barred window
Use the Steam Donkey contraption opposite to release him, you will need to pull the tool attach it to the window, then use the machine to pull the window out of the wall

Now you will have to shoot your way out of the town, use the mini-map to make it much clearer to see the adversaries around you, and also allows you to gain cover and flank
After a pitstop, you will get on your horses and leave, you will need to shoot down more guards, as they will continue to give chase and mow you down faster
Continue following Micah until he stops and ends the mission.

8. Exit Pursued By a Bruised Ego

You will be rewarded with a medal in “Exit Pursued By a Bruised Ego” mission if you could achieve the following tasks:

Track the bear within 1 minute 30 seconds
Shoot the bear at least 6 times
Complete within 12 minutes

Here are the steps to complete the mission:

You can start this mission after completed the Americans at Rest, and start with speaking to Hosea Matthews at the camp
Follow Hosea until you are in the mountains
Then hunt a rabbit using your bow there, they are hard to spot, but you can scan the grass and when the reticle goes red, you know you can fire on one, set up camp and create some bait
Now you will have to track the bear. Click in both analog sticks to find clues and the scent of the bear, which takes you up the valley

Use Dead Eye encounter with the bear before it runs away

9. Who Is Not Without Sin

You will be rewarded with a medal in “Who is not without Sin” mission if you could achieve the following tasks:

Win 2 hands of Poker
Return Reverend to camp within 2 minutes 5 seconds

Here are the steps to complete the mission:

Head to the Flatneck Station
Enter and after the cutscene, you will be introduced to a game of Poker, you will only need to play and also win in one game
Play as many rounds as you like and after that, you have to find the Reverend

Chat to the men to your right and they will narrow down the location
Once you arrive, you have to stop the fights
Then go to the train tracks to rescue the Reverend, make sure you sprint up there to get there in time, then press the button prompts, put him on your horse and take him back to the camp to end the mission

10. The First Shall Be The Last

You will be rewarded with a medal in “The First Shall Be The Last” mission if you could achieve the following tasks:

Silently kill the Bounty Hunters with the river with Javier
Shoot the rope to free Sean
Get 10 headshots
Complete the mission without taking any health items

Here are the steps to complete the mission:

Make your way to just above Blackwater
Go to the edge of the cliff where noted on the map to see a boat, and follow your fellow crew until it pulls up. As instructed, wait until you can stealth attack the left of the two guards, and follow round up into the valley

Now you will face the firefight, keep cover where you can, and use the mini-map to narrow down enemy locations
Once clear, shoot down Sean’s rope and then release him
Loot the dead bodies there

11. The Spines of America

You will be rewarded with a medal in “The Spines of America” mission if you could achieve the following tasks:

Loot everything from Carmody Dell
Don’t get spotted
Deliver the wagon to Emerald Ranch within 1 minute 10 seconds

Here are the steps to complete the mission:

Start this mission by talking to Hosea at Emerald Ranch

Ride with Hosea to the destination on the map, hitch your horse and go to the rock. Use your binoculars when instructed (if you forget, then open your inventory with L1 / left bumper, then R1 / right bumper to find it)
Sneak into the house, go through the back, and don’t interrupt those sleeping

You need to rob $45 of goods in the house, you can search from these points of the house:

All the drawers in the downstairs bedroom
The chest by the front door
The wardrobe and all the drawers below it in the upstairs bedroom
The chest at the foot of the bed upstairs

Now leave the house from the front or back door and meet with Hosea, take the stagecoach back to Seamus to report the job has done

12. Pouring Forth Oil

There are multiple parts of mission to be completed in Pouring Forth Oil, and here they are:

1. Pouring Forth Oil – I

Here you need to speak up with John Marston at the camp.

2. Pouring Forth Oil – II

You will be rewarded with a medal in “Pouring Forth Oil – II” mission if you could achieve the following tasks:

Deliver the Wagon to the drop off within 1 minute 45 seconds

Here are the steps to complete the mission:

After the cutscene, you will see two Oil Wagons will appear on the map, head to them and steal them

You will attract the interest of the guards in the compound, run around the fence and hop inside one
Take off as fast as you can and drop it off at the barn designated on your map to complete the first part of the mission
In case if you won’t have your horse with you, sprint to Emerald Station stagecoach to fast travel to Valentine, and map the trip back to camp

3. Pouring Forth Oil – III

All you have to do in this mission is to speak up with John again at the camp.

4. A Fisher of Men

This is a mission from Abigail Roberts at the camp and will show up after we completed Pouring Forth Oil – II.

You will be rewarded with a medal in “A Fisher Of Men” mission if you could achieve the following tasks:

After arriving at the river, catch a fish within 1 minute 30 seconds
Complete within 7 minutes 20 seconds

Here are the steps to complete the mission:

Take Jack down to the designated point by the river, and follow the tutorial

Stop reeling when the fish is moving in the river, and to hold up on the analog stick when reeling to make it go a bit quicker
Take Jack back to camp after you fish enough

5. Pouring Forth Oil – IV

You will be rewarded with a medal in “Pouring Forth Oil – IV” mission if you could achieve the following tasks:

Kill all the train guards before Sean fires a shot
Clear the baggage car of loot
Escape the Law within 1 minute 30 seconds
Get 10 kills in Dead Eye
Complete the mission without taking any health items

Here are the steps to complete the mission:

Go to the waypoint on the map (it’s where you left the oil wagon previously) to get started
Take the wagon to the train tracks, and after the cutscene, board the passenger car
Then you need to beat anyone who doesn’t give over any money, you can rob more people than suggested for extra cash, but your honor will decrease
Use the mini-map to search the luggage car
Take the train tracks west out of the area. go with full pelt and you should lose them very quickly

13. The Sheep and The Goats

You will be rewarded with a medal in “The Sheep and The Goats” mission if you could achieve the following tasks:

Herd all the sheep into the pen in Valentine
Get 25 headshots
Complete with at least 70% accuracy
Complete the mission without taking any health items

Here are the steps to complete the mission:

It’s a Jack mission near Valentine, so you need to follow Jack to the gunsmith and purchase the sniper rifle, then follow him out into the wilderness to the designated point

After firing off rounds near the group to spook them off, go head down and towards the sheep
Herding sheep is simpler than it looks, all you have to do is focus on the yellow dots on your mini-map, these are the stragglers, get behind it, so the straggler is between you and the main group of grey dots. Once the group is together, position it between you and the yellow marker on the map, and set off

As long as you don’t sprint then you shouldn’t get many stragglers along the way, but if you do, take a moment and let them catch up by breaking off and focusing on them
After you take it to the auction destination, head into town to meet Dutch. After the cutscene, slowly draw, focusing on the two holding your crew hostage, then begin a shootout
After the initial wave, you have to push a cart through town, clear any threats as you go down the street, as any left behind you will cause you and the gang serious damage
Then you will be instructed to carry Strauss to the horses and put it on John’s horse when the prompt appears

14. An American Pastoral Scene

You will be rewarded with a medal in “An American Pastoral Scene” mission if you could achieve the following tasks:

Headshot each of the mounted guards protecting the wagon
Get 10 kills in Dead Eye
Complete within 6 minutes
Complete the mission without taking any health items

Here are the steps to complete the mission:

This mission begins in a camp near Strawberry, where you need to follow Micah until the destination on the map, then give chase to the stagecoach below when it appears

Here you will have to face a gang of armed security, get nice and close to each guard and shoot them point blank, putting them down quickly with no fuss, do the same applies to the drivers, and it will stop the stagecoach
Once it’s stopped, hijack it, there’s no destination, but it should be a linear route onward
Clear the gang of armed men around you, and loot their dead bodies to get some cash

15. A Strange Kindness

You will be rewarded with a medal in “A Strange Kindness” mission if you could achieve the following tasks:

Return the captive to his family within 1 minute 40 seconds
Get 5 headshots
Complete with at least 80% accuracy
Complete the mission without taking any health items

Here are the steps to complete the mission:

Head to the suggested campsite, find the body, then search the crates at the far end of the camp for a cutscene
Follow along from here until you reach another camp, where the abducted man is at the edge. After you find him, prepare for an ambush, which is a pretty standard firefight

Now take the man back to his family (and receive a Gold Ingot worth $300 at a Fence for the trouble) to complete the mission
